QUBA AIRPORT

Quba Airport is a new airport development project planned for the city of Quba, the capital of the Quba Rayon (district) of Azerbaijan. Located approximately 170kms from the capital Baku, the airport will reportedly be both funded and constructed with the support of the Azerbaijan Government. Occupying a closed area of 10.000 squaremeters, the first stage of the construction is initiated in 2013 by the Ministry of Transportation of Azerbaijan. The main contractor of the project is Azwirt-AGT and the architectural group of the airport project is Trafo Architects. As Koniküre, we have worked with Trafo Architects on the project planning phase under project consultancy and project management duties.
